Description
The Enhance Performance Lambda Sensor Spacer is designed to stopping the engine management light from illuminating when you upgrade your exhaust system or de-cat pipe.
The engines ECU uses the secondary lambda sensor to check gas readings, if the main cat is removed, the ECU knows that the gas is not clean enough and believes the catalytic converter has failed; therefore illuminating the engine management light. The Lambda Sensor Spacer is extremely simple to fit and by spacing the sensor out of the flow of exhaust gas, they fool the ECU. They do the trick 99% of the time!
We’d recommended fitting the A16/B16 Corsa with the straight style Lambda Sensor Spacer and the Z16 Corsa and Z20 Astra with the 90 degree style Lambda Sensor Spacer. All A14/B14 engined cars suit the straight spacer
Please note, sensor spacer must always be attached to the secondary O2 sensor, not the sensor in the downpipe. Fitting the spacer to the first sensor in the downpipes could cause engine failure.
Straight spacer is suitable for all Fords
